Connect & Treat — Website Terms of Use

Last updated: 2 September 2026

These terms of use apply when you visit or use www.connectandtreat.com and any associated pages we operate (the "Website"), including browsing, creating an account, reading the blog, or using dashboards. They sit with our Client Terms, Therapist Terms, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Booking, paying and cancelling sessions, and the clinical relationship between Client and Therapist, are governed by the Client Terms (and, for practitioners, the Therapist Terms).

By using the Website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Website.

1. Who we are

1.1 The Website is operated by Connect and Treat Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales with company number 14825853, registered office Apollo House, Hallam Way, Whitehills Business Park, Blackpool, England, FY4 5FS ("Connect & Treat", "we", "us", "our"). Email: hello@connectandtreat.com.

1.2 We operate an online marketplace that introduces clients to independent therapists. We do not ourselves provide therapy, counselling or medical advice.

1.3 The Website is not a crisis service. If you or someone else is at risk of harm, call 999 or go to A&E. You can also contact the Samaritans on 116 123, Shout by texting 85258, or NHS 111.

2. Using the Website

2.1 You may use the Website for lawful purposes only.

2.2 You must not:

(a) misuse the Website, try to gain unauthorised access, or introduce viruses or other harmful material;

(b) scrape, harvest or bulk-download profiles, reviews or content except as allowed by ordinary browsing;

(c) impersonate another person or misuse another person's account;

(d) post anything that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or that identifies a client or discloses confidential therapy information;

(e) use the Website to arrange or take payment for therapy outside the Platform.

2.3 You are responsible for your internet connection, device and for anyone who accesses the Website through your connection.

2.4 We may withdraw, change or suspend any part of the Website without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

3. Accounts

3.1 You must be 18 or over to open an account, or a parent or guardian must open and operate it on behalf of a person under 18.

3.2 Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account until you tell us it has been compromised.

3.3 We may refuse, suspend or close an account if you breach these terms or the Client or Therapist Terms.

4. Content on the Website

4.1 Website content (including blog articles) is for general information. It is not therapy, diagnosis or a substitute for professional advice. Use of that content is at your own risk.

4.2 Therapist profiles are written by the therapists. We check identity, accreditation and insurance when they join, but we do not guarantee the accuracy of profile text or the outcome of any therapy. You should confirm a therapist's registration with their professional body.

4.3 Reviews, where offered, must be honest and about your own experience. We may remove reviews that break these terms.

4.4 You keep ownership of content you post. You grant us a licence to host and display it on the Website for the purpose of operating the Platform.

4.5 All other intellectual property in the Website (name, logo, layout, software) belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy it except as needed to use the Website.

5. Links

5.1 Links to other sites, including a therapist's own site, are for convenience. We do not endorse them and we are not responsible for their content.

6. Privacy and cookies

6.1 We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

6.2 We use cookies as described in our Cookie Policy. At present we only set cookies that are strictly necessary to sign you in and to remember that you have seen the cookie notice.

7. Liability

7.1 Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that English law does not allow us to exclude.

7.2 We are not liable for therapy provided by independent therapists, for profile inaccuracies, or for loss arising from your use of or inability to use the Website, except as we cannot lawfully exclude.

7.3 If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

8. Changes

8.1 We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms for future use.

9. Contact and complaints

9.1 hello@connectandtreat.com. Complaints about a therapist's clinical work should go to that therapist (and if needed their professional body) first, as set out in the Client Terms.

10. Governing law

10.1 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
